The use of social media and search engine sites like Google in hiring decisions is becoming more and more prevalent in today’s society, but is it something that you should be including as a part of your pre-employment screening? A lot of consumer reporting agencies (CRA’s) are starting to offer social media checks, but it can potentially be a liability from the perspective of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
